Search Engine Optimization Answers:
Q1) Which search engines are affected by an optimized website? A) Most of the top search engines and directories still benefit from search engine optimization. These include Yahoo, AltaVista, HotBot, Netscape, AOL, LookSmart, Lycos, MSN and Open Directory.

Q2) How long does it take to get listed? A) Getting listed in the search engines can take from 2 to 12 weeks or more depending on the search engine. In some cases you can pay a Express Submission which will place your site at the top of the list for review within a few days to a week.

Q3) How much does it cost? A) Fees include a $295.00 startup fee for 10 key words and recurring fees of $5.00 per keyword in positions 1 through 10 in the top 18 search engines, $4.00 per keyword in positions 11 through 20 and $3.00 per keyword in positions 21 through 30. An additional $50.00/month fee is charged for regular search engine position reporting and log file analysis reports. See our Pricing page for additional details.

Q4) What are META Tags? A) META Tags are HTML codes (Website programming language) that allow you to describe your website to automated search engine spiders that periodically visit your website looking for changes or new information. Common META tags include TITLE, DESCRIPTION and KEYWORD tags. The TITLE and DESCRIPTION tags are most often used by the search engine to describe your website to search engine users. The KEYWORD tag is used to associate your website with specific search terms on the search engines. While this tag used to be very important, the top search engines either ignore this tag or give it very little weight when determining your search engine ranking.
Their secondary purpose is to lead your visitor into your main website.

Q5) Why is there a 6 month minimum commitment for your optimization service? A) We require a 6 month minimum commitment because it can take between 3 and six months before you realize significant improvement in your search engine positioning.
We invest a significant amount of time up front optimizing your websites. Once our initial work is complete, we have to wait for the search engines to determine how well we did. Remember, this takes from 2 to 12 weeks. Once we see the results of our initial effort, we go back to work to further improve your rankings.
This is a continual process of monitoring, measuring, making changes, re-submitting changes and waiting.

Pay Per Click Answers:
Q1) What is Pay Per Click Internet Advertising? A) Pay Per Click Internet Advertising is a way of getting your website listed at the top of the search results or in a featured area for a fee. This fee is usually a fixed fee per click or a fee that you bid on against other competitors like an auction.

Q2) Why should I pay to be listed in the Search Engines? A) Paying for top placement on certain Pay Per Click Search Engines gets you automatically featured on Yahoo, AOL, Altavista, Lycos, Netscape, Hotbot and many more.
"Paid" or "Featured" placements are given a higher priority than non-paid or traditional spidered search engine results.
Some important search engines only accept "paid" placements to obtain decent rankings.
You get your site listed within days and not weeks or even months.
You can control how much to spend and how it is spent.
Our careful keyword analysis shows us which search terms will result in the most amount of traffic for the smallest expense.
Your competitors are probably already doing it.

Q3) How much does it cost? A) The amount you spend on Pay Per Click Internet Advertising depends on your advertising objectives, the competitiveness of your industry, and the point at which you no longer receive a positive return on your investment.
We have clients that spend as little as $100 per month and some who spend well over $20,000 per month. In all cases, the actual amount spent is determined and justified by a measurable positive return on investment.

Q4) How quickly can my site get listed? A) This varies from 1 to 3 days in general.

Q5) Why can't I do it myself? A) You can if you have the time, knowledge and resources to select the most profitable keywords. Maintaining your top position without paying too much for your position requires daily and sometimes hourly monitoring. (See next FAQ)

Q6) What are Pay Per Click Bid Gaps? A) Bid gaps result on search engines like Overture.com and result in un-necessary advertising expense. It happens when you bid a certain amount in order to obtain an important top position and next highest bidder lowers their bid.
For example, currently on Overture.com, the bid for the top 3 positions for the popular keyword "vacation" are $1.01, $1.00 and $0.73 respectively. The second position bidder is paying $0.26 too much ($1.00 less $0.73 plus $0.01) to maintain the same second position.
How much did this cost the advertiser? In December, 2001 the term "vacation" was searched on 235,498 times. Assuming a conservative 3% click-through percentage, this would have cost the advertiser $1,836.89 in excess advertising expense.

Q7) Why should I use your Pay Per Click Internet Advertising Services? A) Whether you are new to Pay Per Click Internet Advertising or a veteran, your savings that result from our aggressive elimination of Bid Gaps combined with a statistical approach to keyword selection will more than pay for our minimal monthly fee.
Combine these savings with improved quality of internet traffic (which translate to higher sales) and the value of your time saved by not having to do it yourself. It should be a "no brainer".

Q8) Why should I use both of your services?
A) You can not reach all internet users with Pay Per Click internet advertising alone. Some search engines do not offer Pay Per Click rankings or do not have "Featured" affiliations with Pay Per Click search engines like Overture.
Additionally, not all internet users pay complete attention to these "Featured" listings and scroll immediately down to the traditional search results generated by traditional search engine optimization techniques.

Q9) How can you do this so inexpensively? A) Our trained staff of Pay Per Click Internet Advertising consultants spend 100% of their time managing our Pay Per Click accounts. They are fast and know all the tricks and shortcuts. Our proprietary processes, software tools and fast internet connections keep our labor costs to a minimum.
